As a Sommelier for over 25 years, John has had the privilege of working with some of America's finest restaurants, clubs, and resorts including The Yellowstone Club, and Sea Island Georgia's famed Cloister Dining Room.
In 2001, John assisted in opening the prestigious Sea Island Lodge, leading a wine team that helped earn the coveted Forbes Five Star and Five Diamond rating three years running. During this time, he passed the rigorous Advanced Examination from The Court of Master Sommeliers and is currently working toward his Master's diploma.
In 2005 he served as Wine Director for the world-class Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, Montana and spent the next five years creating one-of-a-kind wine events with some of the world's greatest winemakers, chefs, and culinary personalities. His studies have taken him to almost every major wine region in the world, but it's Burgundy that impacts him most.
Today, he continues his love for wine with Golden Slope, providing wine education, access, and enjoyment to wine enthusiasts at all levels.
